Walk Together, Talk Together, All Ye Peoples Of The Earth;
Then And Only Then Shall Ye Have Peace.
-Ancient Sanskrit Proverb
These are words that I live by. My life is dedicated to loving, supporting and understanding others, which includes being a part of AFS Intercultural Programs where I learned about this proverb above and is based on these principles. I was an AFS exchange student to Australia my last year of high school with 250 other exchange students from all over the world. This photo is with a group of us from all over the world in Australia.
Anytime and especially where we are right now, I know the best thing I can do for others is to first listen and understand and ask how I can best love and support them. I don’t know about another person’s struggles unless I listen and I don’t know how to support them unless I ask.
I am grateful that I grew up in a home where everyone was viewed and treated as equal regardless of race, religion or socioeconomic status. We are all part of the human race. I love being friends with and collaborating with people from all walks of life – this enriches my life and expands my inner and outer world.
